He started piano lessons when he was seven – and five years later he continued his education under the wings of Bernard Peiffer, a French jazz pianist. This meeting marked the music way of Uri Caine.
Today he is one of the finest artists combining classical music with the sounds of jazz, electronics and the Klezmer tradition. He also experiments with modern varieties of music (funk, hip-hop, fusion). He has collaborated with John Zorn and Freddie Hubbard.
The American pianist will perform in Szczecin along with Örebro Swedish Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1995; this uniquely harmonious ensemble has already recorded over 50 albums with classical music. The musicians will be conducted by Thomas Dausgaard, associated with the orchestra since 1997.
