ONLINE conference: Hear the future - the challenges of acoustic ecology copy

We have been analyzing the problem of noise pollution to our environment and public space for a long time in Szczecin Philharmonic. The solutions in this area are proposed by acoustic ecology and this is the topic we will deal with during the online conference on February 16, held as part of the "I hear good sounds" campaign. Worth mentioning is the fact that acoustic ecology will be presented in many various research perspectives such as anthropological, philosophical, sociological and media studies; as well as in the fields of medicine – otolaryngological and neuropsychological.
We will confront our theoretical reflections with artistic and pedagogical practices. Together with our guests, we will try to hear the future.

The problem of noise in our environment directs our attention to the activity which we know best at the Philharmonic – listening. By developing the practices of conscious and active listening, we have an impact on the shape of society and the dialogue and cooperation of its various groups. We are becoming co-responsible for what will happen in the coming days, months and years.

As the part of a nationwide symposium, not only the representatives of the scientific community, but also the activists from the third sector, and employees of companies related to acoustics and medical centers will exchange their experiences. The conference will be an attempt to provide a comprehensive insight into the Polish reflection on acoustic ecology.
