Szymanowski and jazz in the Chamber Hall

In the palette of a dozen or so recognizable Polish jazz piano trios, the RGG Trio group takes a special place. The formation was established in 2001 and since 2013 has been operating and consists of: Łukasz Ojdana (piano), Maciej Garbowski (double bass) and Krzysztof Gradziuk (drums). All three of them are musicians with extensive experience, with achievements that are confirmed by awards, distinctions and scholarships. Their interests extend far beyond jazz and music in general.

Szymanowski” is their special concert project devoted to the work of Karol Szymanowski. They are the the paraphrases of the composer's works and compositions by Maciej Garbowski, inspired by the master's work and enriched with jazz improvisations made by Trio RGG. The program consists of mazurkas, variations, preludes and other forms, of which the themes have been intertwined with RGG compositional thread, creating a uniform image of a multi-layered work.
