The repertoire and ticket sales for June 2021

The latest government guidelines allow us to organize the concerts with audience participation, which makes us very happy. We have the series of events planned for you and we are prepared to meet you in person in the golden hall.

What is more, we would like to invite you to the LiveFilharmonia.szczecin.pl streaming platform and to our social media, where we constantly present you new music premieres and where an extensive archive of concerts is available.

Herdzin, Porat, Patyra

On June 5th, our Orchestra will be conducted by Krzysztof Herdzin, the pianist, composer and conductor, who, together with the Motion Trio, will present a unique program. On June 9th, Matan Porat will perform on the stage of the Philharmonic. Born in Tel Aviv, the pianist will present his vision of music to the cinema hits in which Buster Keaton performed years ago. On June 21st, during the online premiere performed by Mariusz Patyra Quintet, we will hear extraordinary music material from the album "No. 24 ". The title of the album, of course, refers to the most famous and difficult piece for solo violin in the history of music – "Caprice" No. 24 op. 1 Paganini.

The End of the season

At the end of the artistic season which happened to be one of the most difficult in the history of our Philharmonic, we would like to dedicate you a beautiful tribute to music by Piotr Tchaikovsky. His Symphony No. 3, very little known, has a complicated history. After its first performances in Western countries in 1899, it was given the nickname "Poland". Its last part – an extremely spectacular polonaise – brought to mind Chopin's compositions written with our struggle for national liberation in mind. However, the composer's intention was not to reflect our desire for freedom – in the Russian Empire at that time, tsarist ceremonies and important events were graced with polonaises. And yet… as a well-educated man, Tchaikovsky knew about the importance of this dance for Poles, and he did not like Tsar Alexander III himself. Well, who can can decide what it was like?

Baltic Guitar Days

Baltic Guitar Days is an event devoted to the art of contemporary guitar performance. The most outstanding young performers and experienced masters present themselves on the stages of Szczecin during the festival concerts. As part of the music courses, students and teachers have the opportunity to polish their skills. Thanks to the competition, many adepts of this art have a chance to accelerate their careers. Therefore, on June 16th, feel more than welcome to join us on the concert of the creator of Baltic Guitar Days – Jakub Kościuszko, who will take us into the amazing world of Harvey Hope's work.

I Hear Good Sounds

In the following editions of the Hearing Good Sounds campaign, we prove that life does not have to have a very loud soundtrack. Thousands of you have already participated in the various types of events, and we are still only at the beginning of our war path.
This year, we would like to invite you to the six-day festival "I Hear Good Sounds". During the conference "EduPhilharmonic- new challenges in music therapy", we will seek advice from the experts in various fields on how to care for our ears. At the concerts, we will work on the sensitivity of our hearing. The exhibition prepared by the West Pomeranian Association of the Deaf will allow you to enter the world of imagination and silence. The picnic and visiting the Philharmonic will be an opportunity to meet people and communities who, like us, believe that hearing protection and caring for it is a concern for the quality of life.

EduPhilharmonic

As always, also in June the Education Center will not disappoint you, as it has prepared a series of events for young and old music lovers. The meetings with Raniutto workshops and educational concerts are waiting for you. The unique concert will be presented on June 1st in our social media. This special day – June 1 – which is a celebration of big and small children, will be dedicated to the unsurpassed Scandinavian philosophy of happiness. And Scandinavian happiness is not only about elves, design, recipes and beautiful nature, but most of all it is about the great music and a positive attitude towards life. This spiritual symphony feast intended for school youth will be a philharmonic pill of knowledge about our northern neighbors.

Ticket sale

Due to the current restrictions and the closure of the institution to the public until May 29th, the stationary sale of tickets will temporarily not take place. The tickets for the June events will be available for purchase via our website – sales will start on May 11th at 10:00.

The concerts with the audience, online broadcasts

The Philharmonic in Szczecin has the livefilharmonia.szczecin.pl platform, which broadcasts live events and gives the access to concerts that have already taken place (VOD archive). We invited the industry leaders to cooperate and thanks to it the intuitive access and transmission quality is at a high level. Our platform broadcasts concerts in Full HD quality, we send a signal with the possibility of receiving excellent sound quality. Access to livefilharmonia.szczecin.pl is possible on many devices: laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones and Smart TV (no application, connection via HDMI with another device).

Online purchase of the concert tickets and access to broadcasted concerts is possible directly on the website livefilharmonia.szczecin.pl or from the Philharmonic's homepage. After clicking the LIVE icon in the upper right corner, you will be redirected to the platform. There you can buy tickets enabling access to the concert and the entire archive of past events for 24 hours from the premiere or up to 72 hours.
