NEWS | 23-03-2017After the performance on 29th March 2017 at 19:00, Mischa Maisky, cellist and one of the most remarkable personalities of the contemporary classical music world, will meet Szczecin music lovers and will sign records. On this day there will be the chance to purchase his album (3 CDs) containing suites by Bach which the artist will play during the concert.
Supposedly, a journalist once asked him: “Why don’t you play contemporary music?” Maisky replied: “How come? I do. What about Bach?”. It was this composer the musicians devoted the year 2000 to. He took part in a world tour with a Bach repertoire during which over 100 concerts were given. To express his profound admiration for this great composer, Maisky recorded Bach’s “Solo suites” for the third time. It will be these that will sound out during the recital in Szczecin.
Last tickets may be purchased at the ticket office of the Philharmonic and online. The prices vary from 35 to 15 pln.
The album comprises three cds by Mischa Maisky released by Deutsche Grammophon with 6 suites by Bach, and will be available on the day of the concert at the Philharmonic for 54 pln.
