A Record Attendance! We have crossed the threshold of 200,000 visitors!
NEWS | 02-01-2018The splendid streak of our Philharmonic keeps its pace! Another year, and for the third time in a row, we have managed to break our previous records. In 2017, concerts, vernissages, sightseeing tours and open rehearsals – altogether 585 events – were seen, listened to and visited by over 227,000 people! That's 48 thousand more than last year.
Interest in the building and concerts is the highest in the history of the institution! 227,301 people took part in our events. If we were to compare this to the number of inhabitants of Szczecin, then every second citizen has listened to a concert, visited an exhibition or the Philharmonic building. If we wanted to seat everyone at once, they would fill the two largest stadiums in Europe – Camp Nou in Barcelona and Wembley in England. The previous record from 2016 was dwarfed by more than 48 thousand.
Over the whole of 2017, 585 events took place at the Philharmonic, which gives an impressive average of 48 events per month. The total number of attractions consisted of 448 ticketed concerts and educational events, 137 outdoor concerts, as well as tours, open rehearsals, exhibitions, online streaming and photo sessions. In comparison, in 2016 there was a total of 436, and in 2015 – 302.
Television, radio and the press mentioned the Philharmonic in Szczecin 966 times.
