Grażyna Auguścik –
Her singing is like fireworks – dynamic, fluid, like an explosion of colors in the sky, running in different directions ... it is a voice flowing with subtle elegance, and its power can be felt without the slightest effort. This is how an American magazine Rockford RAM wrote about her. She is one of the most famous Polish jazz vocalists in the world, although she describes herself rather as a "folk" singer. Since 1994, Grażyna Auguścik has lived in Chicago, where she regularly gives concerts, records her albums, and participates in the most prestigious jazz and underground festivals. In addition, she has recorded as many as 14 solo albums, 7 of which using her own label.
She collaborates with top musicians on the world jazz scene, including such names as Patricia Barber, Paul Wertico, John Medeski, Michael and Randy Brecker, Jim Hall, Michał Urbaniak, Leni Stern, Urszula Dudziak, John McLean, Terry Callier, Ernie Adams, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Robert Irving III, Paulinho Garcia, Bogdan Hołownia, Jarek Bester, Andrzej Jagodzinski, and many, many others.
