Plays improvised music, composes for theatre and film performances. Associated with the Tri-City and Warsaw off-scene artists. He creates performances, projects on the border of music and literature, and projects with dance theatres. Together with Kamil Pater and Jacek Prościński, he co-creates the Maria Peszek band, with Jacek Prościński the Llovage duo, and with Mikołaj Trzaska and Maciek Moretti – Royber Trio.
Olo Walicki made his debut at the age of sixteen, playing in the avant-garde band Niebieski Lotnik with Jerzy Mazzoll and Jacek Olter. He participated in the trend known as the yass scene and collaborated with its creators, Tymon Tymański, Mikołaj Trzaska, Tomasz Gwinciński. For many years he played in Leszek Możdżer's bands. In the years 1996-2004 Walicki performed and recorded with the Zbigniew Namysłowski Quartet.
He co-founded the free-jazz Łoskot, as well as the pop-alternative Szwagierkolaska, the group Oczi Cziorne and the late line-up of the band Miłość. He took part in recording dozens of stylistically diverse albums. Walicki published several of his own projects on his own publishing house (including "Metalla Pretiosa", "Olo Walicki Kaszebe").
He currently performs with the band Wodecki/Pater.
