Mikhail Agrest -
a passionate conductor, encouraged the orchestra greatly. There was so much emotion in it that the musicians almost got up from their chairs. He conducted as if inspired as if our lives depended on music – a review wrote about one of his performances in The Seattle Times. Mikhail Agrest gained his conducting skills at the famous Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, where his operas and ballet performances turned out to be a great success each time. It did not take long for his fame to cross Russia's borders. Just two years after his debut in Saint Petersburg in 2003, Mikhail Agrest already conducted at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Royal Opera House in London. His international career quickly gained momentum, and today the maestro can boast of enthusiastically received performances at the English National Opera, the Royal Swedish Opera and the famous Australian Opera in Sydney. In addition, he regularly collaborates with such symphony orchestras as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Dresdner Philharmonie and Seattle Symphony.
