4dimension Harmony is a beautiful photographic album documenting the construction history of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin. Created by Radek Kurzaj, a filmmaker and photographer, this publication captures the extraordinary three-year journey of building this majestic structure, now one of Europe's most renowned architectural icons.
The album features over 100 unique photographs showcasing both the construction process and the completed appearance of the Philharmonic. Kurzaj, a passionate visual artist, spent extensive time at the construction site, documenting every stage of this monumental architectural masterpiece's construction. His photographs are complemented by comments from architects, musicians, music lovers, and residents of Szczecin, sharing their impressions and experiences related to the Philharmonic.
The album's graphic design reflects the building's aesthetics and structure. Dominant colours include gold, white, and black, symbolising the three central aesthetic motifs of the Philharmonic. The delicate white cover echoes the building's distinctive roof, while golden pages separate individual chapters reminiscent of the elegant Symphony Hall. The album is housed in a black box, evoking associations with an intimate Chamber Hall.
