Przemysław Neumann Director of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin (PL) announces audition for the DOUBLE BASS (solo).
Required documents should be e-mailed until 15-10-2024 to
sekretariat@filharmonia.szczecin.pl, with the note "Audition – DOUBLE BASS".
Audition will take place on 22-10-2024, 00:00 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.

AUDITION REPERTOIRE
Audition Program (required excerpts from orchestral works are marked in the sheet music):
- First movement with cadenza from the Double Bass Concerto by K. Dittersdorf or J.B. Vanhal (solo tuning required).
- Solo piece of your choice.
- Orchestral excerpts:
- L. van Beethoven – Symphony No. 3, Movement III
- L. van Beethoven – Symphony No. 9, Movement IV
- W.A. Mozart – Symphony No. 40, Movement I
- W.A. Mozart – Overture to The Marriage of Figaro
- W.A. Mozart – Overture to The Magic Flute
- B. Smetana – Overture to The Bartered Bride
- R. Strauss – Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life)
- G. Verdi – Overture to La forza del destino
- A vista piece.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
- After completing the recruitment process and selecting the best candidate, a contract will be concluded.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCE
- A diploma of higher education, at least a bachelor's degree
(specialization: instrumental performance – double bass).
- Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable.
