Audition for the 1st violin

Required documents should be e-mailed until 22-10-2024 to sekretariat@filharmonia.szczecin.pl, with the note "Audition – VIOLIN".

Audition will take place on 29-10-2024, 00:00 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.

Contract: fixed-term employment contract as a replacement / two full-time positions

Average wage: information upon request

AUDITION REPERTOIRE
Audition Program (required excerpts from orchestral works are marked in the sheet music):

• W.A. Mozart – Choose one of the following:
• Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K. 216;
• Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, K. 218;

--or Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K. 219 (1st movement – exposition and cadenza).

• A Romantic concerto of your choice (1st movement with cadenza).
• Orchestral excerpts:
• J. Brahms – Symphony No. 1, Movement I
• M. Karłowicz – Stanisław and Anna Oświecim Op. 12
• W.A. Mozart – Overture to The Marriage of Figaro
• S. Prokofiev – Symphony No. 1 "Classical", Movement I
• R. Schumann – Symphony No. 2, Movement II
• R. Strauss – Don Juan
• A vista piece.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
• After completing the recruitment process and selecting the best candidate, a contract will be concluded.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCE

• A diploma of higher education, at least a bachelor's degree

(specialization: instrumental performance – violin).

• Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable.
