Przemysław Neumann, Director of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin (PL), announces an audition for VIOLA tutti (temporary position).
Required documents should be e-mailed until 21-10-2025 to
sekretariat@filharmonia.szczecin.pl, with the note "Audition – VIOLA".
Audition will take place on 29-10-2025, 13:15 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
Contract type:
full-time temporary contract (maternity leave replacement)
Average wage: available upon request via email
AUDITION PROGRAM
Audition repertoire (required excerpts from orchestral works are marked in the sheet music):
- First movement with cadenza from a chosen Viola Concerto by C. Stamitz or F. A. Hoffmeister
- Orchestral excerpts:
- Anton Bruckner – Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major, op. 104 “Romantic”
- Johannes Brahms – Symphony No. 4 in E minor, op. 98
- Sergei Rachmaninoff – Symphony No. 2 in E minor, op. 27
- Richard Strauss – Don Juan, op. 20
- Hector Berlioz – Roman Carnival Overture, op. 9
- Felix Mendelssohn – A Midsummer Night’s Dream, op. 61
- W. A. Mozart – Symphony “Haffner” KV 385
- A vista (sight-reading) piece
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
- After the recruitment process and selection of the best candidate, an employment contract (temporary replacement) will be concluded.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in higher music education, minimum bachelor's (specialization: instrumental performance – viola)
- Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable
