Przemysław Neumann, Director of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin (PL), announces an audition for TIMPANI solo with mandatory percussion instruments.

Audition will take place on 23-04-2026, 13:00 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
Type of employment: employment contract / full-time (1.0)
Base salary for this position is PLN 7,500.00 gross. The Philharmonic applies a point-based (quota) system. The standard quota is 16 points (for example, a symphonic concert equals
12 points).

Jan Zegalski – Étude No. 13 (from 30 Études for Four Timpani)
Georg Frock – Opening Toccata (from Seven Solo Dances for the Advanced Timpanist)
Béla Bartók – Concerto for Orchestra
Movement IV – Intermezzo interrotto (Calmo), bars 38-51
A solo piece for four timpani of the candidate’s choice (maximum duration: 5 minutes)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
After the recruitment process and selection of the best candidate, an employment contract (temporary replacement) will be concluded.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A degree in higher music education, minimum bachelor's (specialization: instrumental performance – percussion)
Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable
