CHOPIN | STRAUSS – a concert in the golden hall

At the first concert this year, at which we will be able to personally greet our music lovers, we will hear Fryderyk Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor, Op. 11 and Four symphonic interludes from the opera Intermezzo, Op. 72 by Richard Strauss

The soloist of the evening will be Andrzej Wierciński – the winner of the Saint-Priest International Piano Competition (2019), the winner of the Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw (2015) and the winner of the 3rd Prize at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition (2019).

The Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Josep Caballe Domenech – the director of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in the USA, the chief conductor of the Moritzburg Festival and the former director of the Staatskapelle Halle in Germany.

Both the pianist Aleksander Dębicz and the guitarist Łukasz Kuropaczewski want to show two passions – firstly, the passion for creating music, and secondly, the passion that comes from a their friendship. This is how the songs that were on the album "Adela" were made. The unique concert was recorded in the place where it was created – the symphony hall of our Philharmonic in Szczecin.

Some of the works are the compositions by Dębicz, while others are his arrangements, which in their idea go beyond simple arrangements of already existing works. The Southern European spirit, like the air from hot yards of Spanish houses and palaces, is present in many works.
