The opera star Artur Ruciński is recording an album at the Philharmonic!

Today, in the golden hall of the Philharmonic in Szczecin begins the recording session of new album of Artur Ruciński's and the Symphony Orchestra of Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic Orchestra . Behind the conductor's stand there will be maestro Pier Giorgio Morandi.
The program, the details of which we will not yet reveal, will include arias from the operas by Piotr Tchaikovsky, Gaetano Donizetti and Giuseppe Verdi.
The premiere of the album is scheduled for 2022.
Artur Ruciński has performed on the most important opera stages in the world. He says about himself: “So far I have been lucky, when I made my debut in Barcelona as King Roger in 2009, maestro Daniel Barenboim invited me to Berlin for Onegin. And then more offers came, and very soon after my international debut, I got them from New York's Metropolitan, La Scala and Covent Garden. " The list of his achievements is impressive. The artist successfully conquers the world stages, has a great contact with demanding audiences, and is appreciated by conductors and directors. In the 2009/2010 season, the Austrian magazine "Festspiele" placed him on the list of the 20 best opera singers in the world. Even the pandemic did not stop his brilliant career.
In the summer of 2020, Ruciński performed at the Teatro Real in Madrid (La Traviata), he returned to it in the autumn as Renato in Verdi's "Masquerade Ball". In June and July 2021 he visited the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Sicily.
A journalist of the portal "Women's Planet" described him as follows: "Every inch a gentleman. He is polite, cultured, elegant and, at the same time, hellishly capable. ". His friends from the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera call him" a real handsome ". Ruciński is extremely humble towards the art he practices. On the threshold of a great career, in an interview with Monika Miśta, a journalist at EksMagazyn, he explained why he did not feel ready to sing certain roles: “You need to mature for certain roles. If we start singing dramatic parts too early – the roles of the so-called "Heavier", what are we going to do for the next 30 or 40 years? Besides, the singer's voice must have time to develop, solidify, strengthen ”. He returned to this issue a few years later, in an interview with Jacek Marczyński, music reviewer for the Rzeczpospolita daily: "[...] the voice gains strength and space with age, we can reach for more and more dramatic roles, if nature and our knowledge predestine us to do so. ".
The artist is not afraid of competition, even though the world of baritone operas is the most abundant, because it is a natural male voice. He says that “the world today is big enough to accommodate all the good singers” and the only rivalry that interests him is positive and inspiring competition during the performance.
What is important for Ruciński? What is success for him? He answered these questions as follows: “The happiness and health of my family – this is the most important thing. After all, work is in the background. […] I sing not for myself, but for people, so it is also a success for me when the reception of my art is positive, when people are moved, smile, etc. Maybe it sounds too pathetic, but it is just like that ”.
Pier Giorgio Morandi began his musical career as an oboist at the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Its next stages were composition studies at the local conservatory (Conservatorio di Musica "Giuseppe Verdi" di Milano), and then honing opera conducting with Ferdinand Leitner at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at La Scala with Riccardo Muti and Giuseppe Patanè. Thanks to working with them, he got to know the traditions, style and secrets of Italian opera in depth. In 1987 he went to the United States to continue his studies at the Tanglewood Music Center with Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa. In the same year he won the "Tanglewood Competition". Tangelwood is a summer master's academy, from which – according to the hopes of its creators – the musician is to emerge with an original concept of his artistic path.
Pier Giorgio Morandi has conducted internationally renowned orchestras such as the Orchester Santa Cecilia in Rome, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Flamish Royal Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie in Brussels, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.
