A musical world, as if from a Walt Disney production, has been created Mateusz Czarnowski, composing his Szczecin melodies to come to life during a great family concert during a mysterious August evening at the Summer Theatre (Teatr Letni) - the premier of the latest album released by the Philharmonic “I żyli długo i w Szczecinie” ( ”And they lived happily ever after in Szczecin”). Tickets for this unique event will be available from 7th June at 13:00 at the ticket office of the Philharmonic, online at filharmonia.szczecin.pl
and at bilety.fm
The protagonist of the story will be inconspicuous to us, as we don’t pay much attention to it on an everyday basis. It just is. It’s all around us being a witness to who we are. We are talking here about Szczecin, which on the 7th of June will become a superhero!
Everybody knows that we live in a city of roundabouts, magnolias and hot pastry (pasztecik). There are so many regional traces here that we could sing songs about them! The Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, aided by young Szczecin vocalists, recorded the album “I żyli długo i w Szczecinie” during a concert of the same name, and just like Alice who followed the white rabbit and fell into a hole, discovering a world full of magical creatures, the authors will take us on a fantastic musical journey full of Szczecin’s stories. This family concert at the Summer Theatre is a great way to spend the summer evening on 13th August 2017.
A musical world as if from a Walt Disney production will come to life in this great family concert. We will hear songs from the new album bearing magical titles: “Orion’s freckles”, “Shipyard ZOO”, “Chocolate City” or “Not by the seaside”. Lyrics to the melodies by Czarnowski were written by Malina Prześluga-Delimata, a young valued playwright and children's book author.
It will be a concert about and for Szczecin. With and for children. In this way we will pay tribute to everything that is a local reason to be proud. To everything that is Szczecin!
