Case Scaglione – an American conductor, former deputy principal conductor at the New York Philharmonic and music director of the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra in Los Angeles. He is currently the artistic director and principal conductor of the Orchester National d'Île-de-France.
Maestro Scaglione graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music, Peabody Institute and Aspen Conducting Academy, honouring him with the James Conlon Award.
He is a frequent guest of leading orchestral ensembles in Europe: NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester in Hamburg, and symphony orchestras in Brussels, Liverpool, Luxembourg, Lucerne and Madrid. In the United States, he collaborates with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and symphony orchestras in Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix, San Diego and Baltimore. In Asia, he is a regular guest of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra; he has also conducted the Shanghai and Guangzhou orchestras and the China Philharmonic Orchestra.
As an opera enthusiast, Scaglione made his debut last season at the Opéra National de Paris with Richard Strauss's Electra, staged by Robert Carsen. He also conducted Wagner's Flying Dutchman at the Opéra de Massy together with the Orchester National d'Île-de-France.
He also conducted the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn (WKO) at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Herkulessaal in Munich.
