Tianyao Lyu

Tianyao LyuAwarded with the 4th Prize at the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw as well as the Special Prize of the Warsaw Philharmonic for the best performance of the concerto (2025), Tianyao Lyu was born on 21 October 2008 in China, and is a student of Professor Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń at the Poznań Conservatory of Music. She has won first prizes at various international piano competitions, including 1st prize at the 19th International Ettlingen Competition in 2024 and 1st prize at the 31st International Chopin Competition in Szafarnia, Poland. She has performed with the Salzburg Soloists Chamber Orchestra and The Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, and has been invited to perform in concert halls in Asia, Europe and the US, including Carnegie Hall and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
