About the project
"Culture Without Borders" is a joint project of the Szczecin Philharmonic and the Dominican Monastery in Prenzlau, co-financed by European funds. The project aims to develop a common cultural offer on the border area and facilitate cross-border access to it for the residents of the Pomerania Euroregion and tourists.
Additionally, the project aims to strengthen the cultural and historical awareness of the residents of the Pomerania Euroregion. The shared culture and history of the region contribute to building intercultural ties and a better understanding of the heritage of Western Pomerania.
All activities carried out as part of the project will be conducted in three languages - Polish, English, and German.
Dominican Monastery in Prenzlau
Painstakingly restored at the end of the 1990s, today's sacred building stands as one of northeastern Germany's best-preserved medieval monastery complexes. The cloisters, refectory, former dining hall for the monks' guests, sacristy, and women's chapel catch the eye and invite one to unleash their imagination and embark on a journey through history.
Under its roof, the facility combines four important regional cultural institutions: the Historical and Cultural Museum with its galleries, the historical city archive, the municipal library, and the "Kulturarche" events centre.
As part of the project, the Szczecin Philharmonic invites you to visit the building, featuring a presentation of the Monastery in Prenzlau activities. Visit the Dominican Monastery in Prenzlau
