Regulations for the recruitment and participation in the project "INTERNATIONAL LUTOSŁAWSKI YOUTH ORCHESTRA ONLINE - eighth edition" (ILYO)
The regulations specify the conditions for recruitment and participation in the project "International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra ONLINE – the eighth edition", which aims to create an international youth orchestra (hereinafter referred to as the "Orchestra"), participating via the Internet in instrumental workshops, lectures with the participation of recognized musicians and speakers from Europe and the United States. The final project will be joint preparation of audio video recordings, which will be broadcast online on August 28-30, 2020 on the Project Organizer's youtube channel for a period of five years.
Registration allows Musicians to log in and complete the Registration Form, in which links to video recordings with their own performance of the piece should be included in accordance with point II point 4 of the Project Regulations.
Filling out the Recruitment Form after logging in is possible from the day of recruitment 5/06/2020 to 28/06/2020.
Musicians in the Recruitment Form must include two (2) videos, of which;
the first recording for all Musicians is a presentation of self-performed fragments of pieces from the Project program (Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony IX, part IV). Specific fragments for individual instruments will be made available on the Project website by 5.06.2020.
the second recording only for woodwinds and brass instruments – any composition (or a fragment thereof) selected by a Musician (duration of recording from 3 to 6 min.).
Recordings should contain a presentation from one shot without editing, on the video face and silhouette of the candidate must be visible, the pieces can be played with the help of scores. The video recording must be sent as a link to youtube (unlisted video) in accordance with the youtube regulations.
The posted video recordings of the candidate for the Orchestra are visible only to the Organizer, lecturers and the conductor of the Orchestra.
Recruitment forms along with qualified links to recordings will be evaluated by lecturers and the conductor of the Orchestra (hereinafter referred to as the "Jury").
The list of people qualified for the Orchestra will be announced by the Jury up to 10 days from the end of recruitment on the Project website.
Project participants will be informed about the results by email.
The jury's decision to choose orchestra participants is final and indisputable. There is no appeal against the above decision.
Participants are required to confirm participation in the Project within 7 days of receiving information on the results of recruitment. Confirmation of participation should be sent to the email address:firstname.lastname@example.org
Musicians who are not selected for the Orchestra will be enlisted on the reserve list. The order of places on the reserve list is decided by the Jury.
The condition of participation in the project is the signing of the Statement, which constitutes an Annex to these Regulations (The statement is included in the registration form).
In the absence of confirmation of participation in the Project (in accordance with point II item 10) or resignation of a Project participant, Musicians from the reserve list will be included in the Orchestra.
III. Participation in the project
Project Participants from August 2, 2020 – August 12, 2020 participate in online classes according to the schedule made available by the Organizer on the Project website on June 19, 2020.
The Program of the Project is part IV of Symphony No. 9 by Ludwig van Beethoven, additionally for the brass group Fanfare for the University of Lancaster by Witold Lutosławski, for string instruments Romanian dances, dance – Bot-tánc by Beli Bartok.
After completing the online workshop, August 13-16, 2020:
all Project Participants are required to send an audio-video recording of their piece (L. van Beethoven Symphony IX, part 4).
appointed Project Participants are required to send an audio-video of their piece between August 13 and 16, 2020 (W. Lutosławski Fanfare for the University of Lancaster or Bela Bartok Romanian Dances, dance – Bot-tánc).
The submitted audio – video recordings of each Project Participant will be subjected to editing and mastering (audio, video) and combined into one final audio-video recording.
Individual online premieres of recordings will take place from 28 to 30 August 2020 via the youtube channel of the Szczecin Philharmonic.
IV. Using the image of a Project Participant
The Project Participant, at the time of sending to the Organizer their audio-video recordings, transfers to the Organizer all copyrights and related rights for unlimited use in time and space of use and disposal of the recorded audiovisual material in whole or in fragments chosen by the Organizer for promotional purposes, without commercial features on all fields of exploitation known at the time of recording, including all fields specified in the Act on Copyright and Related Rights.
The transfer of rights referred to in point IV point 1 covers the following fields of use:
producing by any technique audio and video recorded copies of artistic performances, including magnetic recording and digital techniques for archiving the performance, for non-commercial use only;
all dissemination, including all broadcasting and rebroadcasting, delivery of presentations containing video, sound and text via a web browser, using internet transmission systems, i.e. webcasting, in an uncoded manner, in an open or closed circuit, in any technique (including analogue or digital), system or format, without the possibility of writing to CD and DVD, only on websites and social media, for non-commercial use only;
any public sharing of all or parts of the AV Material in such a way that everyone can have access to it at a place and time chosen by them, including through servers or other internet devices and systems, including third parties, in an open or closed circuit, in any technique, system or format, without the possibility of writing to CDs and DVDs, including on the websites listed in lit. b), for non-commercial use only;
the right to interrupt (fragmentation) for promotional purposes.
The Project Participant consents to the use of his image by the Organizer during the duration of the Project and during preparatory activities to promote the Project and the Organiser's statutory activities in general.
V. Final provisions
The Regulations enter into force on the day of their publication, i.e. on June 5, 2020.
The organizer reserves the right to decide on disputes and matters not covered by the Regulations.
The Organizer reserves the right to supplement the Regulations with detailed provisions regarding the stages of the Project.
In the event of non-compliance with the commitments made, the Organizer reserves the right to remove Music from the Project.
The administrator of personal data is the Organizer.
Personal data will be processed by the Organizer.
Joining the Project and providing personal data in the content of the application form is tantamount to agreeing to the processing of personal data in connection with the implementation of the Project by the Organizer or at the request of the Organizer and consent to the publication of data in the materials of the Project. Providing personal data is voluntary, but failure to do so prevents participation in the Project.
The Organizer has the right to entrust the personal data of Musicians participating in the Project for processing to entities cooperating in the implementation of the Project in order to implement the Project, select Project Participants, and send information related to the Project by e-mail.
Personal data will be processed for the time necessary to carry out the Project and after the end of the Project for the time necessary to fulfill the Organiser's legal obligations and until the deadline by which claims may be brought against the Organizer in connection with the organization of the Project. Personal data will be processed for the duration of subsequent editions of the Project in order to communicate with Participants and inform about subsequent editions of the Project.
Participants have the right to access their personal data, rectify them, delete or limit processing, object to the processing, as well as to transfer data. Statements in this regard should be submitted to the following e-mail address: email@example.com. The consent to the processing of personal data may be withdrawn at any time, but this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
The Project Participant agrees to free recording, repeated use, processing and reproduction of photos, video materials with his image through any medium for promotional and archiving purposes of the M. Karłowicz Philharmonic.in Szczecin without the need to approve them each time.
Sending an application to the Project is tantamount to acceptance of the Regulations and consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data by the M. Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin solely for the needs of the Project.
