Relacja z koncertu
The program will include pieces of Polish music, including the premiere of a composition by Tadeusz K. Mazurek, a Szczecin artist and lecturer at the Academy of Art. He worked as a conductor at the Opera in Szczecin, the Silesian Operetta in Gliwice, the Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych and the Musical Theater in Poznań. His composing oeuvre includes orchestral works, incl. 'Passacaglia', 'Psychosis', pieces for soprano and orchestra, and works for solo instruments with piano accompaniment. He is also the author of chamber music (five-string quartets), numerous choral works and the two-act opera 'Colas Breugnon'.

FeelHarmony Quintet consists of solo musicians from the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble's repertoire includes classical music, 20th-century music and contemporary arrangements of popular music. If you want to take their music with you, we recommend purchasing the CD with works by Rossini, Farkas, Godziemba-Trytka and Agay, which we released. The album is available in the online store.

Post scriptum

By the way, we advise you to pay attention to the issue of playing the French horn. It requires a lot of control of breathing and blows, as well as nerves of steel. Even though there are valves in the instrument to help change the notes, still a lot depends on getting the right combination of air pressure as well as mouth and tongue position to get the correct pitch.

Zapowiedź koncertu
We are like a good story. There will be five heroes. Exceptionally, the witch will not cast spells but only dance. The world premiere of the latest work by Tadeusz K. Mazurek, a composer from Szczecin will constitute the highlight of the evening. We invite you to another family Sunday in the Chamber Philharmonic series. One can sense the atmosphere of a fairy tale. The Cleft Longue will be waiting for the youngest music lovers, and for a slightly older audience, a meeting with our outstanding brass quintet in a chamber hall.

This season we are writing extensively about string quartets. That is why, it is necessary to say a few words about the history of the wind quintet - consisting of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn. One must admit it is a seemingly unusual composition. One possible explanation here is that it draws from an 18th-century ensemble consisting of two oboes, two clarinets, two horns and two bassoons. This group was often used for music transcriptions (rewriting from grander performances into smaller ones). Many popular works by Mozart underwent this treatment. The genre flourished especially at the beginning of the 19th century, thanks to numerous quintets by Anton Reichy and Franz Danzi, both Beethoven's contemporaries. In the second half of the 19th century, enthusiasm waned, but revived in the 20th century and continues to grow.
