The star of the evening will be the long-awaited Spanish pianist Martín García García in Szczecin – winner of the 3rd prize at the last Chopin Competition. However, this wonderful pianist will not present the music of Chopin, but of the Spanish master Manuel de Falla (1876-1946). We will hear "Nights in the Gardens of Spain" ("Noches en los jardines de España") for piano and orchestra.
The program will also include compositions by Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy inspired by Spain.
The orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Eugene Tzigane – an American conductor who once headed the renowned German orchestra Nordwestdeutschen Philharmonie, as well as the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk.
PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna is the Patron of the Year 2024.
