Czerwie Band

Czerwie is a Polish band presenting alternative sounds from the border of folk, ethno, absurdist scenes, theater and film. The band is one of the leading groups playing live music for silent films. They created their own unique style characterized by unconventional use of musical instruments and a fusion of many musical genres.

The musicians have 6 original albums in their discography: "Padlina" (2004), "Otwarta Sztuka dla Ludu" (2008), "Melanż" (2012), "Czerwie Nosferatu Live" (2013), "Mania" (2016, "Metropolis ” (2017)

Czerwie also creates music for theater performances (for the Powszechny Theater in Warsaw, the Klinika Lalek Theater) and music for feature films and documentaries (Xawery Żuławski, Urszula Sochacka).

The group has so far played over 1,000 concerts on Polish and European stages (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain).

In March 2016, the group performed at the prestigious European Silent Cinema Festival "Hippodrome 2016" in Scotland. In turn, in 2018, the group opened the 24th Film Spring in Budapest, and in the fall they played at the Budapesti Klasshikus Film Maraton Magyar Nemzeti Filmarchívum and at the Cinema History Museum in Dusseldorf.

The group currently consists of four musicians: Wojtek Zaborowski, Maciek Kudłacik, Mirosław Ładoś, Piotrek Bogunia, who use in their work, among others, ethnic instruments, xylophone and many other percussion instruments, bass, guitar, mandolin, accordion, and synthesizers.

Guest stars: Piotr Damasiewicz, Michał Litwiniec, Mirosław Ładoś, Tadeusz Kulas, Roman Marczyński.
