Audition for the viola

Required documents should be e-mailed until 03-06-2025 to sekretariat@filharmonia.szczecin.pl, with the note "Audition – CELLO".

Audition will take place on 10-06-2025, 00:00 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.

The audition time will be provided at a later date.

Audition Program (required excerpts from orchestral works are marked in the sheet music):

• J. S. Bach: One movement of your choice from the Solo Cello Suites BWV 1007-1012.
• J. Haydn: First movement (without cadenza) of one of the following cello concertos:
• C major Hob. VIIb/1
• D major Hob. VIIb/2 (ed. Gendron)
• Orchestral excerpts:
• W. A. Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro – Overture
• B. Smetana: The Bartered Bride – Overture
• J. Brahms: Symphony No. 3 Op. 90
• F. Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4 "Italian"
• P. Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 Op. 74

Additional information

• Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
• After completing the recruitment process and selecting the best candidate, a contract will be concluded.

Qualifications required and experience

• A diploma of higher education, at least a bachelor's degree(specialization: instrumental performance – viola).
• Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable.
