Former Szczecin in Andrzej Forys' graphics

The artist, who died in 2020, was a painter, sculptor, interior designer and a teacher who was associated with Szczecin for most of his life.

Andrzej Foryś graduated from the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow with a specialization in interior design, sculpture, and industrial art. From 1960, he was a member of the Association of Polish Architects and the Association of Polish Artists and Designers.

His rich artistic achievements include numerous projects and implementations in the field of interior design of various facilities (over 250) not only in Szczecin (a church, a theater, a cinema, a club and a restaurant, a library – Pomeranian Library, a ferry port, a harbor master's office and interior ships), in the field of exhibition architecture, as well as design and costumes, stained glass, commercial advertising, logos, posters, illustrations and books.

Andrzej Foryś received many awards and medals for his social activity and special contribution to the development of artistic education in Poland (he was the teacher at the Szczecin Secondary School of Fine Arts), for example, "Meritorious Cultural Activist", "Guardian of National Memorial Sites", Golden Cross of Merit .

In 2016, part of Andrzej Forys' artistic output was possible to be admired in the Philharmonic building. On the occasion of the vernissage, a ceremonial benefit was also held, summing up the creative activity of this outstanding artist.

Today, we are happy to present you 24 reproductions of graphics, which show the buildings characteristic of the old and modern buildings of Szczecin.

All the graphics are issued on high-quality paper, in the format 21x30 centimeters.

On the obverse of the graphic there is the logo of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin and graphic description in three languages: Polish, German and English.
