Saxophonist, composer, music producer, and one of the most intriguing voices of the young generation on the Polish music scene. Winner of prestigious awards such as the "Polityka" Passport, Fryderyk, Onet Olśnienia, and Trójka’s Mateusz.
He graduated from the Copenhagen Conservatory, where he honed his craft before breaking the conventions of popular music. His fresh approach was recognized by the American magazine Downbeat, which listed him alongside Shabaka Hutchings, Yussef Dayes, and Makaya McCraven as one of the musicians who may shape the future sound of jazz.
In Poland, his talent was quickly noticed. As one of the youngest musicians in history, he recorded three albums within the legendary Polish Jazz series, presenting them in concerts around the world – from Japan to the USA.
Since 2023, he has led the band Hoshii, which transcends jazz boundaries by blending hip-hop, electronics, and modern sounds. Their second album "HER NAME WAS YUMI" will be released soon, but the group’s activity goes far beyond instrumental music. In early 2024, they launched hoshii sessions – an online series of meetings with favorite hip-hop and alternative artists. Together, they reinterpret their songs in jazz-inspired arrangements. So far, they have produced over 30 episodes across three seasons, culminating in a sold-out concert at NOSPR featuring artists such as schafter, Kukon, The Dumplings, Daria ze Śląska, Kasia Lins, and Hubert.
For more than three years, Kuba has also been a resident of Warsaw’s Jassmine club, where he runs his original Jazz Cats series, bringing together jazz creators from all over the world. In 2024, he debuted as a film composer, creating the score for Krzysztof Skonieczny’s film "Wrooklyn" Zoo. For his work, he received, among others, a nomination for the Golden Lions at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.
