
2022 Gloria Artis award winner, Agnieszka Rehlis’s 2025/26 season features appearances at the Washington National Opera as Amneris in Aida and as Liza in Weinberg’s The Passenger at the Polish National Opera. On the concert stage, she will perform Rossini’s Stabat Mater at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Verdi’s Requiem at Müpa Budapest and the Zurich Opera, and Il trittico in concert with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.
Last season saw her return to the Royal Opera House and her debut at the Staatsoper Berlin as Azucena in Il trovatore. She also appeared as Amneris in Aida at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Arena di Verona, as Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera at the Royal Opera House Muscat and Opernhaus Zürich, and performed Verdi’s Requiem with Le Cercle de l’Harmonie at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Past engagements include appearances at the Zurich Opera as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem, as La Cieca in La Gioconda at the Salzburg Easter Festival, as Amneris in Aida for Oper Frankfurt and the Arena di Verona Festival, as Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, as Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, and as Cześnikowa in The Haunted Manor at the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
She has also appeared at the Royal Opera House as Amneris in Aida, at the Dutch National Opera as the mezzo-soprano soloist in the staged version of Verdi’s Requiem, returned to Zurich Opera as Waltraute in Götterdämmerung, performed Ksenia’s Nurse in Boris Godunov at Teatro alla Scala, sung the title role in The Rape of Lucretia at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, and appeared with Opera Australia as Amneris in Aida and as Laura Badoero / La Cieca in a concert version of La Gioconda. Further engagements include the role of the Fortune Teller in The Fiery Angel at Teatro Real Madrid, returns to Zurich Opera as Azucena in Il trovatore and Waltraute in Wagner’s Ring Cycle, Amneris in Aida at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, and appearances at the Savonlinna Opera Festival.
At the National Theatre Prague, Rehlis performed the role of Amneris in Aida. She made her debut with the Bayerische Staatsoper as Fenena in Nabucco, appeared at Oviedo Opera as Waltraute in Götterdämmerung, and at the Teatro de la Maestranza as Azucena in Il trovatore. She returned to the Opernhaus Zürich as the mezzo-soprano soloist in the staged version of Verdi’s Requiem, to the Komische Oper Berlin as Khivrya in Sorochinskaya Yarmarka, and to the Aalto Musiktheater Essen as Amneris in Aida.
An accomplished performer of contemporary music, Agnieszka Rehlis has appeared in concert works composed and conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki. She participated in the world premiere of his Symphony No. 8: Lieder der Vergänglichkeit and is featured on the Grammy Award-winning recording Penderecki Conducts Penderecki.
