On Sunday, we invite you to the Philharmonic in Szczecin. On selected weekends we have prepared concerts at noon. Their pleasant, intimate form is an ideal way not only to spend a day with the family but also to show the city and our building to guests and friends. Clef Lounge will be awaiting the children, as well as the art gallery on the fourth floor. Please do not forget to eat dinner in our spectacular lobby.
But what is really spectacular is the music presented within the Philharmonics Play Chamber series. Our friends and colleagues from the Symphony Orchestra will perform for us. More importantly, you will be able to HEAR Szczecin.
A Pole, a German and a Jew - we know this paradigm from literature and the screen. Yet, the heroes of the evening were not friends, let alone did not establish a factory together (apart from the fact that they did not live at the same time). However, it was their music which has been chosen by Éxquartet for the concert program. But no means it is a coincidence. Our artists care about showing what Szczecin is famous for. It is a city at the crossroads of routes in the heart of Europe. Meetings of cultures acquire special meaning for us because we can find elements of history, culture and a social life that connect and not divide. And we use a language that our guest will understand.
It is also interesting to present the form of a string quartet three times - we can find differences in the treatment of instrument voices by various composers, but also in a similarly romantic melodiousness. Thus, different composing traditions, but one universal pursuit. It is hard to find a more expressive message!
Éxquartet is an ensemble consisting of the unique musical personalities of the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra: Monika Sawczuk (1st solo voice of the orchestra), Łukasz Górewicz (creator of avant-garde music projects), Grzegorz Sadowski (viola group leader) and Tomasz Szczęsny (cello concertmaster).
