This is the third edition of ILYO. Young musicians from different regions of Poland and Europe come to Szczecin to jointly develop their skills under guidance of a team of renowned artists. The inspiration for creating an international youth orchestra was the 100th birth anniversary of Witold Lutoslawski celebrated in 2013. The pieces forming the finale concert of this year's program of workshops are closely related: "Funeral Music" by Lutosławski is not only dedicated to the memory of Hungarian composer Bela Bartok, but also in its musical structure it directly relates to "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta".
