"Third of Three" is an original project of the drummer Jacek Kochan, to which he invited two pianists: Pole Dominik Wania and Italian Mauro Schiavone. The pieces composed by Kochan refer to the aesthetics of electronic music, and also demonstrate a surprising affinity with the contemporary classical music.
The program is dominated by complex drum parts, including sounds produced by "papersonix" – a set of percussion instruments constructed from all sizes of cardboard boxes, sheets and tubes. What will complement the whole are the consistent sounds of the Wania's electric instrument and the Schiavone's classical piano. This music will reach far beyond the hermetic circle of sophisticated jazz sound lovers. It is an invitation to broaden the possibilities of perception and musical imagination.
