Ewa Tracz
A graduate of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan and master's and doctoral studies at the K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the solo singing class of prof. Ewa Biegas. She participated in the Young Talents Education Program – "Opera Academy" at the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw. Currently, she works as a teacher at the Faculty of Vocal and Acting at her alma mater in Katowice.Winner of international competitions, including: 1st Prize in the female voice category at the 15th Ada Sari Vocal Art Competition in Nowy Sącz (2013) 2nd Prize in the 9th International Klaudia Taev Vocal Competition (Estonia, 2015) 2nd Prize in the 5th I.J.Paderewski Vocal Competition in Bydgoszcz (2015) 2nd Prize in the 9th St. Moniuszko International Vocal Competition (2016) 1st prize at the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition in Katowice (2018).
She made her debut as Giovanna D'arco in the opera Giovanna D'arco by G. Verdi (2014), The Countess in the opera The Marriage of Figaro (2014), The First Lady in the Opera The Magic Flute (2015), Fiordiligi in the opera Cosi fan tutte by W. A. Mozart (2015). She played the part of Marianne in the opera Der Rosenkavalier by R. Strauss (2014) and Xenia in the opera Boris Godunov by M. Mussorgsky (2015). She made her debut on the stage of La Scala in Milan as Constance in the opera The Abduction from the Seraglio by W. A. Mozart (2016), as the soprano part of the Fairy in the ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (2017) and as the mother Gertrude in the opera Hansel and Gretel by E. Humperdinck (2017) and the role of Anna in the opera Nabucco by G. Verdi (2017). She made her debut on the stage of the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw as Micaela in the opera Carmen (2018) and Ulana in the opera Manru by J.I. Paderewski (2018). Donna Anna in the opera Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart at the Polish Royal Opera (2019). She made her debut as Roxana in the opera King Roger by K. Szymanowski (2022) at the Opera na Zamku in Szczecin, for which she was honored with the title – Best Singer of 2023 in the 17th Edition of the J. Kiepura Theater Music Awards. She played the role of Musetta from the opera La Bohème (2022) at Hyogo Performing Art in Kobe, Japan.
