Can a piano hold a secret? And can a single instrument change someone’s world? Discover Emil’s story and the wonderful discovery of a piano at a meeting with Agata Kolasińska, author of A Tale of a Little Big Piano. A Story That Sounds, beautifully illustrated by Joanna Rusinek.
In this story, Ludwik the piano and a little boy named Emil become the heroes of an extraordinary adventure, with music leading them to unexpected discoveries. Agata Kolasińska invites young readers into a world of sounds, imagination and emotions, showing that every instrument may have a story worth discovering.
How did the story come about? What inspired the author? How did words and illustrations come together to create a book that sounds? During the meeting, we will go behind the scenes of its creation, talk about the author’s inspirations and discover a story that reminds us how music can bring people together and awaken curiosity about the world.
There will be plenty of activities for younger visitors! You will be able to buy the book, get Agata Kolasińska’s autograph and take a souvenir photo with the author. It is an opportunity to discover a story based on real events, meet the people who inspired it and take home a book to revisit long after the meeting.
Joining us will be Agata Kolasińska, the author, and Emil Chodań, Director of the Cultural Centre in Dobra, whose connection to the story began with the discovery of the piano and who has also become a character in the book.
We warmly invite children, parents and everyone who enjoys stories in which reality meets the magic of music.
