Antipodes (?) is a conceptual point of departure-a pretext for bringing together diverse artistic approaches, experiences, and ways of thinking about painting. Perhaps “antipodes” exist only when viewed from a sufficient distance. Up close, we are more likely to discover points of connection and shared ground than clearly defined divisions.
The exhibition presents works by artists associated with the visual arts communities of Szczecin and Lublin. The project is organised in collaboration between the Academy of Art in Szczecin and the Institute of Fine Arts at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.

Antypody (?) to umowny punkt odniesienia – pretekst do spotkania różnych postaw twórczych, doświadczeń i sposobów myślenia o obrazie. Być może „antypody” istnieją jedynie wtedy, gdy patrzymy z odpowiedniego dystansu. Z bliska częściej dostrzegamy punkty styczne i obszary wspólne niż wyraźnie wyznaczone granice.
