The response to light is one of the most universal manifestations in the universe as we know it. Matter brightens and darkens, changes colour and state, crumbles and breaks down into simpler forms – no atom ever remains entirely at rest. Seen from this perspective, photography’s attempt to preserve a fleeting view appears almost anomalous: an effort to resist entropy itself. At the edges of this anomaly, somewhere beyond the limits of our perception, images emerge only to disappear once more.

Paths of the Sun presents a series of reflections on experiencing light, observing the Sun’s journey across the sky, and exploring the mystery of photography itself. It is also a story about images that never fully appear, yet reveal themselves through the colours of plants, the glow of fire, and the shifting shadow beneath a tree.
