Magda Miśka-Jackowska

Journalist, radio presenter and music educator. She is the author of the film music podcast Score and the City, which received the Podcast of the Year 2023 award. A highly regarded presenter, she hosts prestigious cultural events throughout Poland.

During her 15 years at RMF Classic, she created numerous popular programmes. The most notable include Moje kino, for which she received an award from the Polish Film Institute in 2010, and Zagraj to jeszcze raz, dedicated to the phenomenon of film music. It was the first production of its kind in the Polish media and received a MediaTory award in 2019. In 2023, her original podcast Score and the City received an award in the Janusz Majka Podcast of the Year Competition and a nomination in the „Konkurs Krytyk Mówi” competition at the Kamera Akcja Festival.

From 2023 to 2025, she was responsible for cultural affairs at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Poland. Since 2018, she has been the literary director of the Zbigniew Wodecki Foundation. She has hosted concerts at the Wodecki Twist Festival on numerous occasions, working with broadcasters including Telewizja Polska, TVN and Polsat.

She has conducted hundreds of radio and television interviews with leading figures from the world of culture. As an educator, she is affiliated with the Academy of Music in Łódź. She is the author of the short monograph Kilar (PWM, 2022) and A Guide to Film Music (PWM, forthcoming).
