Audition for the Principal 2nd Violin position (temporary replacement)

Required documents should be e-mailed until 15-09-2026 to sekretariat@filharmonia.szczecin.pl, with the note "Audition – 2nd violins".

Audition will take place on 30-09-2026, 23:59 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.

Type of employment

Full-time employment contract – temporary replacement / 1.0 FTE.

The basic gross salary for this position is PLN 7,800 per month. Musicians' work is calculated using a points-based system. The monthly standard workload for a tutti musician is 16 points (for example, a symphonic concert equals 12 points). Each point exceeding the monthly standard results in an additional payment equivalent to 1% of the basic salary.

• Orchestral excerpts:
• W.A. Mozart – Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, K. 543, 4th movement (bars 1-41)
• B. Bartók – Concerto for Orchestra (bars 265-317)
• J.S. Bach – St. John Passion No. 20 
• F. Liszt – Faust Symphony – Andante soave
• J. Brahms – Symphony No. 4, 4th movement (from letter B to letter D) 
• Sight-reading piece

Additional information

• Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
• After completing the recruitment process and selecting the best candidate, a contract will be concluded.

Qualifications required and experience

• A diploma of higher education, at least a bachelor's degree (specialization: instrumental performance – violin).
• Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable.
