
Jazz vocalist. Lecturer at the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, holding a doctoral degree in musical arts. For the past nine years, he has ranked first in the Jazz Top readers’ poll by Jazz Forum magazine in the category of Vocalist of the Year. He is the winner of the First Prize and the Audience Award at the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition in Switzerland (2013). In his interpretations, he combines outstanding vocal technique, sophisticated scat improvisations, lyricism, nostalgia, and subtle humour.
He has released three studio albums: Wojciech Myrczek – Celebrating the Journey (2022), Myrczek & Tomaszewski – Love Revisited (2014), Wojciech Myrczek Quintet – We'll Be Together Again (2010), and has also made guest appearances on numerous jazz, pop, and classical recordings.
He has performed at major international festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival, The Hague Jazz, Brisbane Jazz Festival, Devonport Jazz, Sofia Jazz Peak Festival, Celje International Jazz Festival, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, Jazz nad Odrą, the Jazz Pianists Festival in Kalisz, Silesian Jazz Festival, and in concert halls such as the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Hobart Conservatory, Bird’s Basement in Melbourne, The Basement in Sydney, Łódź Philharmonic, Zabrze Philharmonic, Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, Pomeranian Philharmonic, the Finnish Institute in Paris, BMC Opus Jazz Club in Budapest, Roma Theatre in Warsaw, Stary Theatre in Lublin, Hudson Studios in New York, and many others.
He has collaborated with Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Krzysztof Herdzin, Paweł Tomaszewski, Lora Szafran, Tomasz Stańko, Anna Serafińska, the ensemble Camerata Silesia, and many other artists from the Polish music scene.
