Bester Quartet

The group consists of four outstanding instrumentalists, both classically and jazz-trained. A characteristic feature of the ensemble is its performance of music spanning a broad stylistic spectrum, incorporating selected elements of classical, jazz, avant-garde, and contemporary chamber music, with improvisation at the foundation of unique instrumental forms.

This ensemble is the new incarnation of the legendary The Cracow Klezmer Band, founded in Kraków in 1997 by composer and accordionist Jarosław Bester. Thanks to its original and artistically bold repertoire, based mainly on original compositions or works specially written for this instrumental lineup, the group continues to gain recognition from both critics and audiences worldwide.
