
Zofia Neugebauers magnetic stage presence, singing flute sound and unparalleled musicianship continue to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide, solidifying her status as a leading luminary in the world of classical music.
Lately, as a soloist, she collaborated with renowned orchestras such as Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Mährische Philharmonie, the Camerata Zurich, the Folkwang Chamber Orchestra and the Sinfonietta Cracovia.
As chamber musician, Zofia is a recurrent member of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra for the Summer Editions as well as interntional Touring with soloists such as Anastasia Kobekina. She has collaborated with ensembles to perform at music festivals including Gezeiten Konzerte, Bad Kissinger Sommer, the Dresden Music Festival, Davos Festival and Verbier Festival.
Born 1994 in Poland, Zofia began her musical journey at the tender age of five at the piano. She soon discovered her passion for the flute, transitioning to the instrument at the age of ten. She gave her first solo performance with the symphony orchestra in Katowice at the age of thirteen. Zofia pursued her formative education at the esteemed music school in Wrocław, culminating in her graduation 2014 with highest honors. Following her academic achievements, she embarked to Switzerland, where she was privileged to study under the tutelage of flautist Felix Renggli, at the University of Music Basel. Her encounter with Felix Renggli during a masterclass in Poland had already sparked a profound mentorship. In 2016, Zofia completed her bachelor's degree in Basel with exemplary marks followed by her master studies. From 2017 to 2019, she was a member of the esteemed Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker. It was during this pivotal period that she found profound artistic inspiration under the mentorship of Mathieu Dufour, further enriching her musical tapestry.
2019 Zofia assumed the position of principal flute in the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.
Acknowledged for her exceptional talent, Zofia is the recipient of prestigious scholarships from institutions including the Polish Ministry of Culture, the Mozart Society Dortmund, and Villa Musica.
In 2025, Zofia Neugebauer is poised to make her mark with the highly anticipated release of her debut CD featuring Mozart’s flute concertos. Additionally, she marked a significant milestone in her career with a mesmerizing debut performance with the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin at the prestigious Philharmonie Berlin in April 2024.
Across all of these accomplishments and performances, Zofia remains committed to her own artistic development and growth. She is searching constantly for new ways of expression. She composes her own music and artistic creations, that helps her to understand the world of emotions and classical music even deeper.
