Łukasz Patelczyk
Łukasz Patelczyk (b. 1986) is a Polish painter and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he received his diploma in 2012 under the supervision of Professors Teresa Miszkin and Witosław Czerwonka. In his artistic practice, he combines the tradition of landscape painting with the language of geometric abstraction, exploring the relationship between humanity, nature, and technology, as well as the contemporary landscape of the Anthropocene.
He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Special Prize at the Artystyczna Podróż Hestii competition (2011), the Bielska Jesień Painting Biennale (2015), first prize (jointly with Agata Kus) in the Kompas Młodej Sztuki ranking (2020), and the Kazimierz Ostrowski Award (2025). His works are held in public and private collections in Poland and abroad, including the National Museum in Gdańsk. He has presented solo exhibitions both in Poland and internationally, including in New York, Salzburg, Budapest, and Toruń.
